Carolyn prepares an education and training program for both the horse and rider. She focuses on competition at a high level while making the sport fun for the students.
Coming from a family of top riders and trainers, Carolyn started young and has achieved a number of victories and awards over the years. Her riding experience combined with 15+ years of teaching enables Carolyn to effectively convey her message to her students, for proven results in the show ring.
Carolyn's clients have enjoyed great success with her over the years in Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation. Accomplishments include qualifying for the George Morris Excellence in Equitation class at WEF, Adult Jumper Champion at WIHS, Marshall & Sterling Children's Equitation Champion, and numerous Champion and Reserve Champion prizes at top shows such as the Winter Equestrian Festival, Devon, Lake Placid, Vermont, Hampton Classic, Pennsylvania National, Washington International, USEF Talent Search Finals and other shows throughout the East Coast.

Jean Brillman has been involved with Hunters and Jumpers for 25 years; riding, teaching and competing. As a Junior rider, she trained and showed with some of the top Hunter/Jumper trainers such as Frank Madden, Cynthia Hankins, Leo Conroy and the Chapots. She has shown and pinned at various A-rated horse shows, including Devon, Ox Ridge, Lake Placid and the Winter Equestrian Festival, among others. During her show career she competed in divisions such as the Junior Hunters, Junior Jumpers and Medal/Maclay Equitation.
After receiving a B.S. in Communications from Ithaca College, Jean went on to teach as an instructor at Horse Sport, located in Portland, OR. After returning to the East Coast, Jean taught at Delaware Valley College as an Adjunct Professor in their Equine Studies program and was the Assistant Coach for their Intercollegiate Hunt Seat Team. During this time she also received her Masters in Education from Temple University. Currently, Jean is working on completing the requirements to become a USEF 'r' judge.
In addition to working for Desfor Farms, Jean owns Angel Pet Sitting, a pet sitting and dog walking company located in Montgomery County, PA.
